Acupuncture

Acupuncture works on the body's energy channels known as Qi (pronounced chee). By inserting fine needles on points along these channels one is contacting the Qi and assisting the body to come back to an equilibrium where health can be maintained.

Facial Revitalisation acupuncture is a combination of needling and massage that relaxes facial muscles, improves complexion and gently reduces fine lines.

Both body and facial acupuncture use other techniques such as moxibustion, cupping, ear acupuncture and massage.

  • Moxibustion is the burning of a herb material in close proximity to the body generating Qi flow.
  • Cupping is the use of glass cups that create a vacuum on the skin and allow the passage of unwanted pathogens to leave the body.
  • Ear acupuncture is used to enhance the body acupuncture and at times it may be recommended that a seed stays in place between treatments.
  • Massage is used in combination with the above methods.
